Afroditi Krassa
Newcomers to the studios, retail brand designers Afroditi Krassa, have had a lot on their hands lately.
They've been shortlisted for the International Designer of the Year 2011 awards taking place at this year's furniture fair in Milan.
Dishoom, the restaurant they designed earlier this year is shortlisted for the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2011 - the industry's Oscars. As brand guardians, they're already working on Dishoom No 2, a pop-up restaurant on London's Southbank during the Festival of Britain this summer - this time they're collaborating with Honest Entertainment, party organizers from the studios.
If you seek good food with an Italian twist and happen to spend time in the City, Afroditi’s new branding and retail design project coco di mama is opening next week on Fleet street. They're responsible for the name, the brand identity, the interiors, the packaging, the website and art direction of the advertising.
They've also been working on Gelato Mio, the Italian chain of gelaterias. It will be launching early April in Belsize Park and rolling out in four more locations in the year.
And finally, they've been appointed Brand and Design consultants of the Itsu chain, putting them in charge of four new locations this year, as well as all branding and marketing development.
