Tahnee's colourful but dark paintings are part of a new group show Debut Contemporary at Salon Gallery, 82 Westbourne Grove launched on the 2nd of March.

An innovative concept for all aspiring and ambitious artists Debut Contemporary showcases the best of British creative talent across all art disciplines. Debut Contemporary provides an affordable exhibition and mentoring platform for all talented emerging artists to showcase and sell their artworks where they will be introduced to collectors, art professionals and businesses..

Suky Best

Fresh from her recent exhibitions at the Sheffield Insitute of Arts and Camberwell College of Arts, video artist and printmaker Suky Best is now taking part in 'Fieldwork', a group show featuring the work of the Royal College of Art (Visual Communication) Research Department.

Fieldwork proposes an engagement between audio/visual media and exhibition practice that examines the moving (and stilled) frame’s intrinsic resonance, potentiality and ability to articulate rich streams of thought.

The exhibition is at the Regency Town House, Brunswick Square in Hove and opens on the 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th April.

Other artists include Nicky Hamlyn, Nanette Hoogslag, Woodrow Kernohan, Joséphine Michel, Catrin Morgan, Gareth Polmeer, Andrew Vallance and Ian Wiblin.

Julie Goldsmith

West End House Art Gallery in Smarsden, a picturesque Tudor village in Kent, have included Julie’s new sculpture and drawings in their collection. It is reopening the weekend of 19th and 20th of February with a group show.

Karen Hobbs

Adding to her tradition of dressing the B's, (Bellowhead, Jo Brand, Rory Bremner, John Bird, Rob Brydon...), Karen's costume designs for Charlie Brooker's How TV Ruined Your Life recently appeared in the BBC2 series. Clips can now be seen on YouTube.

Karen continues to teeter between the sublime and the ridiculous.
She is adding to her project on Attachment, which is on display in her studio and  is currently creating costumes for a C4 Comedy Lab pilot, with a leading artist at 6'7" tall!

Six years at Art College and it all boils down to comedy underpants!

Tamar Zaig

Tamar’s latest commission has been to design costumes for “Island”, a feature film starring Colin Morgan, Natalie Press and Janet Mcteer. Filmed on location on the Isle of Mull, its a fairy tale, meets thriller, meets myth, meets mystery. The film premiered at the Glasgow Film Festival in February and Soda Pictures are now preparing for it's general release.

A special screening will be held at the Curzon Renoir on 25th April at 6.30pm followed by a Q&A with writer/co-director Elisabeth Mitchell and co-director Brek Tayor and some of the cast and crew. Book your tickets now to show your support for the film screenings.

Tamar has also styled a ballet piece, "Off Kilter" for Dane Hurst from the Rambert Dance Company, using costumes from her Costume Boutique.
