Kate Gibb

Kate Gibb studied Printed Textiles at Middlesex University and having graduated, decided to focus on the development of the Silkscreen process on to paper rather than fabric. Her studio gradually expanded during her time completing her MA at St Martin's, when she received her first music brief for the band Mono.

Music has presented itself as a major outlet for her silkscreen illustrations, most notably her long standing relationship ship with The Chemical Brothers.  The past decade has seen her create Sleeve Artwork for Kate Nash, Sonny J, The Magic Numbers & Simian to name but a few.  Her background in Textiles, love of printed ephemera combined with an acute sense of colour, has led Kate to work with fashion brands such as Dries Van Noten, Levis and currently Stussy.  Editorially she has collaborated with Wired, Creative Review, The Observer magazines alongside Tokyo based publications Atmosphere, Idea, Relax & +81.

Advertising has seen her work with many design groups here in the UK, Europe, America and Japan. These have included Saatchi & Saatchi, Fallon, JWT, Stoique (Tokyo), WCRS & 180 (Amsterdam).
