We’re very excited to announce the date of this year’s Great Western Studios Christmas Party!
Join us after the GWS Christmas Market on Thursday the 6th December from 6pm for a festive affair of fantastic food, cocktails, and friends, new and old, to mingle with.

We cannot wait to see you all there!
Throughout December at Great Western Studios there are always lots of sample sales and pop-up shops appearing in the Atrium, and they’re brilliant! But this year we thought we’d consolidate the sales into one fantastic event… The GWS Christmas Market!
On Thursday the 6th December we will be encouraging studio holders to set up in the Atrium and host their pre-Christmas Sales alongside one another.
Join fellow studio holders for their festive pop-ups and sales and grab some unique gifts and a chance to see what the community has to offer!
We cannot wait to see you all there!
It’s that time again!
Orlebar Brown are holding their biannual sample sale in studios 310 from 5th December 2018. It’s always a hugely popular event so get down early to avoid missing out!
This December, 60-seater Regent’s Canal boat, the Electric Barge transforms itself into the Electric Sledge: an exciting new pop-up floating venue moored at Merchant Square in Paddington Basin.
The Electric Sledge will be an intimate venue for Christmas lunches and dinners for private and corporate parties between the 3rd and 21st of December. Braai specialists, Bring & Braai, have created a menu that puts a South African twist on the classic Christmas fare. The food – including Chakalaka Turkey, Braaied Butternut and piping-hot Potjiekos – will be cooked on traditional open wood fires on the towpath alongside the barge, providing a unique winter spectacle for guests and passers-by.
At lunchtimes, the Electric Sledge will also be serving – street-food style – Turkey and Sage Boerewors Rolls, with smoked caramelised braai onions. Operated by the charity Beauchamp Lodge Settlement, The Electric Barge offers private hire trips, throughout the year, to independent and corporate guests to raise money for learning activities on its Floating Classroom – providing opportunities for local children to come aboard to learn about history, science, nature and the world around them.
The Electric Sledge is no different and all the money made by this venture will be ploughed back in to support that charitable work.
