Another After: an exhibition of ten artists

Private View: Sat 31st Jan 2015
Exhibition runs: Sun 1st Feb to Sat 7th Feb 2015
Location: Gallery

Another After brings together the work of ten established and emerging artists who retain a diverse and distinctive approach to contemporary art.

In this conceptual exhibition comprising of work by Patrick Colhoun, James Haggas, Timothy Holt, Lindall Pearce, Catriona Robertson, Emily Scott, Alice Steffen, Amy Stephens, Gillian Willis and Lauren Wilson; the viewer is deliberately drawn into debate, from the two to three dimensional, their extension of blurring boundaries in the medium invites unanswered  questions, much debated with each presenting artist.

Set in London’s Great Western Studios, these contemporaries challenge the viewer with the manipulation of materials within their surroundings, asking questions of familiarisation and humour with our relationship towards physical matter. The work on show engages a diverse approach for appropriating construction within an artistic location, coaxing the spectator to judge, tease as well as navigating their way around our current world and thereby heightening our dependent bond to dexterity.

Curated by Timothy Holt and Emily Scott.
