GAIA Family celebrates their 4 birthday

4 years of hard work to make sure that everyone who wants a family has a chance to try.

The story on how Gaia started their journey is beautiful and inspiring.

In 2016, Nader AlSalim and his wife started their IVF journey. After years of treatments across multiple clinics and countries, they were fortunate to have a son.

Exhausting, expensive, and full of surprises, he knew that there must be a better way. How could you spend £50,000 and end up without a child? Gaia was founded in 2019 to solve that single question.

We are so happy Gaia is part of our big GWS family and we wish them the very best.

International School of Luxembourg visited GWS

Last Friday, art & design students from the International School of Luxembourg visited Great Western Studios. Thank you for coming to learn more about our creative community. It is always a pleasure having you here!

We want to thank our fantastic studio holders What3Words, Effection Studio and Westport Architects for taking their time to talk about their practice.

Christmas Gathering at Great Western Studios

Christmas Gathering at GWS is always a good idea. 2022 has been a remarkable year, but here at GWS we think that 2023 will be even better!

In 2022, we welcomed 24 new studio holders with various profiles – professional services, casting, fashion, photography, sculpture, architecture and so much more. We welcomed 4 new members to the GWS team, each one of them with different backgrounds with many different virtues. We organised 5 successful events, to which more than 100 studio holders were part of them.

To celebrate Christmas and the New Year, we organised the annual Christmas Gathering. Canapes were eaten, pictures were taken, and chocolate was flowing. We want to thank our studio holders who could join us at the Christmas gathering to wrap up another wonderful year here at GWS. From our GWS family to yours, merry Christmas and happy New Year. Remember, GWS is open for the entirety of the Christmas period, 24 hours a day.

A huge thank you to our studio holders Akta Photography for capturing every special moment and Arthur Jeffes for the spectacular performance during the night. A special thank you to Bidfood for delicious canapes.

BlueShift Creative Coding and Robotics Camps

Join our studio holders, BlueShift, for the creative coding and robotics camps this December!

BlueShift gives children the environment and support to learn digital literacy skills through coding and robotics; they do this by providing holiday and half-term camps, after-school clubs, and private tuition for those wanting 1-on-1 instruction. They have a number of knowledgeable teachers on our team that provide their students with engaging and fun ways to learn coding and other digital skills.

From December 19th to 23rd they have the Winter Wonderland of Coding camps taking place at Colville Primary School in Notting Hill. Their camps are for children aged 4-14, and they are separated into the following age groups and topics:

– Minis (ages 4-6) – Coding and Robotics
– Explorers (ages 6-8) – Creative Robotics
– Adventurers (ages 8-12) – Merry Minecraft
– Innovators (ages 10-14) – JavaScript and Web Development

Throughout the week, children will be taking part in a number of different activities and projects depending on their chosen camp. The youngest campers, Minis, will be starting their coding journey with jingle bell robots and creating interactive greeting cards for the holidays. The Creative Robotics students will get to enjoy all the robotic fun, and the Minecrafters will be creating their own snowy winter wonderland world.

Very excited to have a new JavaScript and Web Development course for the older students this year. This course is ideal for students interested in learning how to build their own websites and are ready for more complex projects. This will combine innovative digital art projects, text-based programming, and design to teach real-world skills and encourage creativity!

If this is something that would interest your child, they’re giving all Great Western Studio holders a 10% discount for our Winter Wonderland of Coding camps, just use the code GWS10 at checkout to save.

For more information on December Camps and any other services offered by Blueshift, please head to their website, www.blueshiftcoding.com or get in touch at hello@blueshiftcoding.com.

SAVOIA Americano launches in the US Market through an exclusive partnership with Eataly

SAVOIA Americano Rosso, the new vino aperitivo by Italian drinks innovator Giuseppe Gallo, lands in the United States of America.

SAVOIA Americano launches in Eataly Flatiron in Manhattan, New York. Eataly, same as SAVOIA, was born in Torino from Italian entrepreneur Oscar Farinetti. Eataly stands for ‘Eating Italian’, which encompasses the history and the food culture of Italy very much like Savoia is doing in the beverage industry.

Starting from December 8th, SAVOIA Americano will be available exclusively at Eataly Flatiron, both for retail as well as at Serra rooftop restaurant, with a dedicated Menu of Italian-inspired aperitivo cocktails.

SAVOIA is available in over ten countries in Europe. Having already won multiple awards both for its delicious liquid and contemporary design, Savoia is the new aperitivo to watch in 2023.

SAVOIA Americano pays homage to its Italian heritage, with the name coming from the ancient royal family, the Royal House of Savoia, that unified Italy in the 1860s to be as we know it today. Savoia brings together three different traditions of Italian drinking in one glass: the Vermouth from Torino, the Bitter from Milano, and the Marsala Fine DOC Fortified Wine from Sicilia.

SAVOIA was created with the aim to revitalise the Americano aperitif wine category and represents a perfect mid-point between bitters liquor and red vermouth, capturing both styles in one bottle – the bitter (“amaro”) and sweet vermouth (“dolce”).

With exceptional and predominantly Italian ingredients, Savoia Americano is inspired by an authentic recipe that dates back to circa 1897, “Bitter di Milano”. It is certified vegan, 100% natural and has significantly less sugar than other red bitters or vermouths on the market. It is the first of its kind to use the 14-months oak-aged DOC Marsala Fine wine adding to its unique flavour.

Balancing its fiercely Italian heritage with a modern twist on a classic category, it’s aimed squarely at premium bars, restaurants and hotels.

The brand will be available in NY state through Panebianco Wines, a premium wine-focused distributor, with coverage of the states of New York and New Jersey, bringing a selection of fine Italian beverages to the East Coast.

Purchase online at Eataly Vino New York.
